Antonia Zennaro: Tell Your Truth

August 19, 2022  /  Cicada Radio

Antonia Zennaro is a documentary photographer and social artist who explores the human spirit around the world. She has been developing her own printing method for the last five years, using a serigraph based technique in which she uses an exposure unit to burn her large format negatives onto fabrics such as satin and organza. Using a light sensitive chemical glue between the two surfaces she creates a contact print, and the negative image is burned into the fabric. This innovative process creates stunning monocolor pieces that are waterproof, pliant, and form beautiful silhouettes when light passes through them. Her work is an intimate examination of the social and political constructs that co-create the world around us.
